The Club House
Produced by Sharon Zhang

The focus of The Club House is to encourage social interaction through expression on a familiar, yet conflicting form. The exterior image of a house is familiar and comforting to many, yet it is what goes on inside these houses, unseen by most, that forms the memories and experiences that shape us as individuals. Individually, our day-to-day interactions are familiar to many, but may not reflect our internal processes. The House is a physical representation of this dichotomy between interior and exterior expression. Similarly, it will be placed in unremarkable locations on the UCSD campus, such as the lawn overlooking Price Center, or within the eucalyptus trees that we all pass on our ways to class.
The focus of the House is to bring people into these spaces to express themselves, thereby using the space in a way that they previously did not. The playful size and provided art supplies of The Club House will be enticing and attractive, and the available canvas space will invite people to fill it with their own expressions.
